Replacing Trees Affected by Emerald Ash Borer

Forest Park Forever and the City of St. Louis are coordinating to remove and replace trees in Forest Park affected by the emerald ash borer, an invasive beetle destroying millions of ash trees in North America.

During this work, parking will be limited along Grand Drive near the Visitor Center and Dwight Davis Tennis Center while Forestry Division crews remove 41 trees and the Forest Park Forever team plants Wildfire Tupelo trees to replace them.

25th Invasive Species Removal & Habitat Restoration

For the 25th year, volunteers came together to help Forest Park Forever restore and maintain the Park's natural areas.

On November 2, more than 110 volunteers, the Kennedy Woods Advisory Group (KWAG) and our conservancy focused on restoring 6.5 acres in John F. Kennedy Memorial Forest. We filled 4.5 trucks with wintercreeper and other vines during another successful Invasive Species Removal & Habitat Restoration project day. Thank you to everyone who joined!

Reimagining Steinberg Rink & Eastern Forest Park

The Forest Park Master Plan calls for Steinberg to become a year-round amenity. What could that look like?

We’re partnering with the City and world-class designers on a vision that invites the community to enjoy eastern Forest Park in every season.
