Celebrate the opening of Monet/Mitchell: Painting the French Landscape with us during this special Family Sunday event! Create memories in nature just like these landscape artists by participating in a guided forest bathing experience with Urban Forest Therapy. Personalize your own lily pad to add to our community water lily pond and create a postcard artwork to share memories of your favorite places.
GUIDED FOREST BATHING: 11 am, 1 pm, and 2 pm
Join Jess Thenhaus with Urban Forest Therapy for a 45-minute guided forest bathing walk through the Grace Taylor Broughton Sculpture Garden and Kennedy Forest just behind the Museum. During each walk, Urban Forest Therapy will guide you through a series of invitations designed to help you slow down, explore nature through your senses, and connect to the natural environment.
Spots are limited, and sign-up begins at 10:30 am in Sculpture Hall.
GALLERY POP-UP ACTIVITY: 1–4 pm
Saint Louis Zoo educators will lead a frog call matching game and share their ecological knowledge about pond life and the creatures that may have inhabited Monet’s water lily pond. Enjoy their game, then learn about this Frog Pendant in Gallery 112.
