Día de los Muertos is an annual celebration presented at the Missouri History Museum in collaboration with Hispanic Festival, Inc.
Visit the Missouri History Museum in Forest Park to celebrate Día de los Muertos this November! Enjoy altars that represent a variety of Latin American cultural traditions, live music and dance performances, an art display, food and drink vendors, a procession through the park, and more. Family zones will offer face- or arm-painting for kids, arts and crafts, storytelling in Spanish, and other activities.
SCHEDULE
Saturday, November 4
11am–7pm | Altar viewing and art display
11am–7pm | Outdoor musical entertainment and food and drink vendors. Purchase tacos, pan de muerto, and other baked goods from El Chico Bakery. There will also be tamales, street corn, hot dogs, beer, margaritas, atole, and soft drinks, plus recorded and live musical entertainment.
11am–5pm | Make-and-take crafts, including catrina paper dolls and tissue-paper papel picado
12–4pm | Arm- and face-painting (free for kids 18 and under, $12 for adults)
12–4pm | Celebrate loved ones with souvenir printmaking
1pm | Cuentos en el museo (bilingual Spanish-English storytelling)
1–2pm | Music by Manos Pan America on the South Lawn
2pm and 4pm | Dance performance Aqui se Narra by Bailame Academy
3–4pm | Music by Manos Pan America on the South Lawn
5:30pm | Performance by Ballet Ollin on the South Lawn, followed by a quarter-mile procession through Forest Park
