Start your New Year’s celebration early with a Throwback Thursday featuring St. Louis’s own “The God Pops of Hip-Hop” G. Wiz and hip hop crew LOOPRAT! With his signature M.usical E.du-tainment style, G. Wiz will share the story of how he created the “video mixtape” in 1995—a synchronization of beats and visuals that caught the attention of major music labels. After the presentation, stay for a live musical performance by LOOPRAT, whose fusion of musical sounds takes inspiration from the early days of hip hop, then join us in the Grand Hall for DJs and drinks, including a dance performance.
