In an exhibit that opens Oct. 7 at the Saint Louis Science Center, celebrate the life and work of Dr. Jane Goodall, who braved the unknown to provide a remarkable window into humankind’s closest living relatives – chimpanzees.
Becoming Jane: The Evolution of Dr. Jane Goodall is a highly engaging exhibition that allows guests to experience the remarkable story of a pioneer in STEAM. Dr. Jane Goodall, DBE, founder of the Jane Goodall Institute & UN Messenger of Peace, started as an intrepid young woman with a dream to learn about animals in Africa. Dr. Goodall traveled to what is now Tanzania’s Gombe Stream National Park and immersed herself by observing chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Her work studying the lives of chimpanzees in the wild captured the imagination of the world. This incredible exhibition showcases her adventurous and awe-inspiring life through a projection experience of Tanzania’s Gombe National Park, a hologram projection of Dr. Goodall narrating her impactful story, a replica of her research tent in Africa and so much more.
