The Forest Park Forever community mourns the loss and honors the life of Sarah Kate Otto "Peasy" Love, an Emeritus Board of Directors member and our conservancy's first Board Chair. Peasy died on Wednesday, December 20. "Peasy was part of a core group of Forest Park Forever founding Board members who for years kept fighting for survival and recognition as an organization against long odds," remembers Gary Krosch, a fellow founding Board member. "We are so grateful for Peasy’s efforts to help save Forest Park," says FPF President and Executive Director Lesley S. Hoffarth, "and we are thankful that she stayed actively involved with Forest Park Forever through the end of her life."

In the coming days, more than 60 Forest Park trees from Union to West Pine, near Murphy Lake & the Lake/Lindell intersection, will be adorned with red bows in honor of Peasy's remarkable contributions to and love of Forest Park.
