Enjoy Forest Park — Safely

If you plan on visiting Forest Park as St. Louis eases its public health restrictions, please use the following guidelines to keep yourself, fellow visitors and Forest Park Forever and City of St. Louis staff safe and healthy.

Stay 6 feet apart.

  • Even if you or others are wearing face masks, it’s important to maintain the recommended 6 feet distance from other Park visitors.

  • If you are on a running path and approaching someone else, please veer into the grass to maintain the appropriate distance.

Bikers should announce themselves before passing a pedestrian.

  • Please announce “On your left” when approaching a pedestrian so that you both have time to appropriately distance yourself.

Be mindful of others before crossing bridges in the Park.

  • If you approach a bridge and find that someone else is on it, please wait for them to exit the bridge before entering. Many of the bridges are narrow, and there is no way to maintain a 6-feet distance with another person on the bridge.

Explore quieter, less visited parts of the Park.

Maintain 50 feet distance of all Park staff.

  • The Forest Park Forever Land Management team is busy planting, weeding and maintaining our beautiful Park. Please give them the space they need to stay healthy and do their job.

Take your trash with you.

  • With more visitors having picnics throughout the Park, it’s important that you leave the Park as you found it. Please pack-in and pack-out with all your trash.

Follow all Park signage regarding closures.

  • All courts and playgrounds — including Turtle Park — remain closed.
